Parking Marssteden, Enschede

Parking Marssteden (Enschede) is mostly about choosing the right street zone around the business area, or falling back to a public garage / P+R when street spots are limited.

Street parking near Marssteden: pay only in marked bays

On and around Marssteden, you’ll mainly find street parking. In Enschede, street parking is zone-based and only allowed in designated parking spaces (“parkeervakken”). If you’re stopping briefly, street parking can work—just double-check the zone on the signs and the time window.

• Zone 1 / 1B: €3.85 per hour (Mon–Sat 9:00–23:00, Sun 13:00–23:00)
• Zone 2 to 8: €3.45 per hour (Mon–Sat 9:00–19:00, Sun 13:00–19:00)

Outside the zone hours, street parking conditions typically change—so rely on the posted signs where you park.

Follow the Marssteden site rules (don’t block access)

Marssteden is a business park, and local rules matter. It’s not allowed to park on green verges, and those green strips can’t be used as storage. The area also needs to keep access for public safety infrastructure (for example, hydrants) at all times.

If you don’t see a normal public parking bay nearby, don’t improvise—drive to a proper public option (garage or P+R) instead. And if you’re using your own parking pass or permit, make sure it matches the street zone.

Public garages in Enschede: useful for evenings and longer stays

If you want something more predictable than street parking, Enschede’s public garages can be a practical fallback. The citywide garage rates commonly used for planning are:

Garages also have height limits. For example: H.J. van Heekgarage (max 2.10 m), Q-Park and Irenegarage (around 2.00 m), while Stationsplein and Hermandad are lower (max 1.95 m). If you drive a taller van, check the garage signage before entering.

• Maximum day tariffs (examples): Brouwerij, Stationsplein, Irene and H.J. van Heek: max €16.75/day (Brouwerij has 1–2 hours free)
• Mooienhof / Hermandad: max €8.50/day

P+R nearby (bus/train connection) if street parking is full

If you prefer to avoid the street hunt, P+R can reduce stress—park at a dedicated site and travel onward by public transport. Two commonly used Enschede P+R options are:

• P+R Zuiderval: €3 per day; on presentation of your ticket you can continue by bus for up to 5 people for free to the city centre.
• P+R Parkweg: 156 spaces; listed max day rate €9.00, with a reduced “traveller” day rate of up to €4.00 for train travellers (conditions apply).

Paying and planning your arrival (and checking Mobypark)

For public parking in Enschede, you typically can pay via a parking app, with debit/credit card, or using coins (and in garages also banknotes). If you’re planning around peak times, arriving earlier—or switching to a garage/P+R—usually saves the most time.
