Encontrar aparcamiento cerca de Lelystad, Almere
Parking Lelystad is mostly about following the local paid-parking rules in the Stadshart/Lelycentre (and knowing when it’s free). Before you park, check the street signs for the correct color zone, the applicable times, and whether you need a parking disc (parkeerschijf)—so you don’t end up with a ticket.
| Street parking situation | Paid or free |
|---|---|
| Mon–Sat | Paid from 09:00 to 18:00 |
| Thursday evening (Stadshart) | Paid until 21:00 |
| Sundays & public holidays | Generally free (except Bataviahaven) |
Paid street parking: pay by license plate (kentekenparkeren)
In the paid areas, you typically don’t park “by paper ticket” anymore: you use license-plate parking (kentekenparkeren). That means you enter your registration number at the street payment machine and payment is linked to your car.
Paid street parking applies only in the marked paid color zones. The municipality uses the street signs to show which color zone you’re in, and tariffs/time limits can differ by color.
Color zones & time limits (including the blue parking-disc rule)
The paid parking areas in Lelystad are split into color areas, each with different rules:
- Green: no maximum parking duration in the listed areas.
- Purple: maximum stay of 14 days in the areas that fall under this color.
- Blue: parking disc required (parkeerschijf) in the marked areas.
- Yellow: no maximum parking duration in the listed areas.
- Pink: used for Bataviahaven long-stay area (P6), where paid parking applies with 24/7 rules.
Because these rules are sign-based, always double-check the color on the street signage right where you plan to park.
Garages & paid parking areas near the center (entry/exit times)
If you want fewer surprises than trying your luck on the street, use one of the paid garages/terrains in the Stadshart area:
- De Waag (Waagstraat 1/2 area)
- Neringdek (Neringweg)
- Zilverparkgarage (Reaalhof)
- Ziekenhuis parking (Ziekenhuisweg / St. Jansdal area)
- Bataviahaven P6 (Batavia Stad/VOC area)
Entry vs exit: At De Waag and Agoradek you can drive in 24 hours per day. For the other garages, entry is possible from 06:00 to 22:00, while exit is always possible 24 hours.
Garages use license-plate recognition so you usually don’t need a ticket at exit, but it’s still wise to keep your ticket for cases like a missed read or when using pedestrian entry.
If you lost your parking ticket, the municipal fee is €10. Also note that between 00:00 and 07:00, opening the garage/service assistance may involve an additional €75 charge.
For busy arrivals (for example, Thursday evenings in the Stadshart), you can check Mobypark for future bookable availability—but Lelystad currently doesn’t show any private spots you can book right now.
Longer stays: P&R limits
If you’re planning a longer trip and using a P&R (park-and-ride) option, the general rule is up to 28 days consecutively. If you qualify for a discount, it can increase your total covered time, with a limit of up to 3 days (72 hours) for the discounted part.
